Oh la la, il s'en est passé des choses... en vrac : nous avons été à l'anniversaire de papy et mamie avec toute la famille des deux côtés - une super fête ; nous avons rendu visite à ma copine Dominique qui a accouché de son petit quatrième début novembre ; Elise a perdu sa première petite dent ! les filles ont été charmantes cette semaine ; demain leur tatie Céline vient avec leur cousin Arthur pour passer une partie du week-end avec nous.
So what's new ? A lot of things happened... among those : we went to Jean's parents' birthday party they organised for the whole family on both sides - a wonderful party ; we visited my friend Dominique who gave birth to her fourth baby in the beginning of November ; Elise lost her first baby tooth ! The girls were charming this week ; tomorrow their auntie Céline (my sister) is coming with their cousin Arthur to spend a part of the week-end with us.
Je commence à me sentir un peu débordée... j'ai cherché les filles à l'école et je les ai gardées cet après-midi pour qu'elles se reposent. Elise avait une otite en début de semaine et avait besoin de dormir. Laure, qui fait la sieste à l'école, n'a pas dormi et nous a un peu gâché notre repos... Jean n'est pas rentré, il avait le marché de Noël de son école et il est parti directement à un match de ping-pong. La maison n'est pas reluisante, le frigo se vide, il faut faire des évaluations dans chaque classe la semaine prochaine, et j'en passe. Je crois comprendre que cette semaine je n'aurai de nouveau pas trop de temps pour mes loisirs... Pourtant jeudi j'ai pu retourner à Ferrette (youpi !!!) - bilan mitigé : je crochette un gilet pour Elise et j'avais super bien avancé... en le reprenant le soir je vois une diminution à un endroit bizarre... genre tout en bas... et j'ai du rouvrir tout mon travail de l'après-midi. C'est ironique, je disais encore à Agnès l'après-midi même : c'est un point facile, pour le moment je ne me suis pas trompée et je n'ai pas eu à défaire ! HA ! J'aurais peut-être dû me taire ? M'enfin, restons philosophes, c'est embêtant mais ce n'est pas si grave. Je crois que je vais aller dormir, et demain j'attaquerai une nouvelle journée en pleine forme !
I start to feel a little overwhelmed... I picked up the girls at school today and we stayed at home so they could have a rest. Elise was ill at the beginning of the week and she needed it (sore throat, ears and nose, the seasonal things) ; Laure, who usually naps at school didn't here at home and kind of ruined things for us a little. Jean didn't come home tonight, he had the Christmas market at his school and then left for his table tennis match ; the house doesn't look too pretty, the fridge is getting empty, next week is test time for all my classes, and so on... I suspect I won't get to indulge in some leisurly activity next week. Yet, this Thursday I could go back to Ferrette (yippeeeeee !!!) but the result is not too great : I had brought the crochet I'm doing (a cardigan for Elise) and I had really made progress... and yesterday evening I suddenly noticed a missing row - I had diminished a stitch where I shouldn't have, at the beginning, so I had to unravel all I had done in the afternoon... which is IRONIC, because I had told Agnès : it's an easy stitch, I haven't done anything wrong so far and I haven't had to undo anything. HA ! Maybe I shouldn't have said anything ? Well, anyway, let's see it philosophically, it's very annoying but it's not that big a deal. There are worst things in life. I'll just go to bed and start a new day tomorrow with renewed energy !
