Well, I'm taking a short break from all my filing while Jean is taking care of the girls. I uploaded all the photos we had left on the camera on the new computer and I played around to see all the possibilities it has. Of course the procedures are totally different but I managed to downsize some photos and save them in a new file to upload them here.
When seeing the pics again (there were about 300 of them !) I noticed I had completely forgotten that we had also been at my parents' place, and that as usual, we left the girls there and went exploring. We headed to La Petite Pierre (litteraly The Little Stone), in the heart of the Northern Vosges natural park.

I love the houses in sandstone, they're so typical ! All the windows and doors are framed with it, and I think it looks wonderful. And this door particularly caught my eye.

And oh surprise, I found out that this site was really close to where my parents live - and I got to know it through a gardening magazine !! Of course we had to go there.

They are real cave dwellings where families actually lived up to the 50's. The last dweller died in 1958. It seems all nice and picturesque, but I wonder how life went with a whole family, and mostly in winter !

Right, that's going to be it for tonight, it's getting late and I still have a lot of work. I'll show you other pictures tomorrow !
