Après tout un été sec et sans pluie (ou si peu), aujourd'hui quelqu'un, là-haut, a ouvert les robinets en grand !! Il a plu quasiment toute la journée (et il pleut encore à grosses gouttes en ce moment) et je me suis amusée à remplir des seaux, des arrosoirs, des récipients, à nettoyer mes chaussures dans les flaques et à marcher dans le ruisselet qui coule de l'autre côté de la rue. Très amusant !
After a very dry and very nearly rain-free summer, today someone, high above, opened the tap and let it run !! It rained nearly all day (and it's still pouring down heavily as I'm typing) and I had fun filling buckets, watercans, all sorts of containers, washing my shoes in the puddles and walking in the rivulet flowing on the other side of the road. Such fun !

After a very dry spring and summer here, too, we are experiencing some rain - not a downpour as you've described, but hopefully enough to dampen the wildfires that are eating up our forests.
