Chenonceau

Première visite de vacances, lors du premier jour de canicule (géniaaaaaaalll). On est partis assez tôt le matin puis on est restés au frais dans le château.

First visit of the holidays, on the first day of a heatwave (greeeaaaaat). We left rather early in the morning and then stayed inside the castle where it was cool.

 

Et bien sûr il n'y a pas que le château, mais des jardins

And of course it's not just the castle, there are gardens too 

 A l'intérieur il y avait de beaux arrangements floraux dans de nombreuses pièces

Inside, there were beautiful flower arrangements in many rooms

 

Et en retournant à la voiture nous sommes passés par la ferme avec un immense potager, mais il faisait trop chaud, on cherchait vraiment la fraîcheur sous les arbres et je ne suis pas allée explorer plus avant

Going back to the car we went through the farmyard area with a huge kitchen garden, but it was much too hot, we really were seeking to stay in the shade, under the trees so I didn't explore further

 Nous avions réservé une chambre pour deux jours au Moulin Garnier - un lieu enchanteur ! 

We had booked a room for two days at Moulin Garnier - a truly wonderful place !

 

 

Plongeon dans la piscine bienvenu en fin de journée ! a dip in the pool was welcome at the end of a hot day !

C'est un vrai, pas une déco ! It's a real one, not a garden deco !
