Je me suis donc tranquillement mis à l'ouvrage.
Something weird prevents the English part of yesterday's post to appear, I tried many times to fix it but nothing will do :(
Today was both long and short, pleasant and unpleasant. Long because I had to wait most unexpectedly in front of the "Office of maternal assistants" (where parents and nannies can get in touch) and therefore I had nothing to spend time usefully, no quilting, no books, no mail to write. Well it might turn out, all that time spent sitting in a corridor was not in vain. To be continued... My day also felt short because I could spend only a short fraction of the time I had planned to take care of my house. Unpleasant because I had to go to the dentist, and he really hurt me when he poked with his sort of hook right between the retracted gum and the tooth, on the most sensitive part, you see what I mean ? I could feel the pain for a long time throughout the day !
On the other hand, it was pleasant to finally pull out all the weeds in front of the entrance of the house (see first picture) I had been telling myself for a long time to get to work ! So I did, quietly.
Half an hour later, I hurry inside, chased by violent gusts of wind and a more than threatening dark sky. After a (thank God) short hailing, I can see my progress through the window (see second pic)
Oh the things I found ! Finally it's not a bad thing to let plants grow, I found stuff that had re-seeded themselves, like dwarf snapdragon, a kind of big yellow daisy (I don't like yellow in my garden but well, I'll keep it). I had some cosmos there as well, maybe I'll find some of those too ? And then a little effort later, here's the result (last pic). So gratifying that I swear I'll take care of the front of the house ASAP, and while I'm at it and it rains a lot, I'll try a late sowing of a mix of pink flowers.
