Eh oui, les filles étaient de nouveau en vacances ; la semaine a été chargée, jeudi et vendredi étaient des journées passées hors de la maison et j'avais besoin de me retrouver entre mes 4 murs, au calme de préférence ! Rester au lit le matin, manger dans le calme, passer sa journée au calme... quel bonheur !
Aujourd'hui je me suis levée vers 9 heures, après le petit déjeuner j'ai rangeotté à droite à gauche puis nous sommes partis en promenade avec Jean.
Avant d'avoir les filles, on partait très souvent en promenade, surtout en Suisse, comme on est juste à côté. En une heure on était au Passwang ; on a pris un petit chemin de randonnée et on a vu des vaches
celle ci a déserté le troupeau et s'était mise à l'ombre au bord du chemin.
On a respiré de l'air pur. On s'est arrêtés et j'ai pris des photos sur le parking d'un restaurant, et ce soir en les visionnant Jean s'étonne "Où sont les photos des Alpes ?" Il paraît qu'on voyait les Alpes du parking où j'ai pris les photos, mais je n'avais pas du tout capté ça donc j'ai pris une photo de la vue à droite, de la vue à gauche, et les Alpes étaient au milieu. Pas vues ! Je ne suis pas une habituée de la montagne comme lui... et il aurait pu me le dire !
En rentrant on a mangé de la viande grillée au barbeque ; puis une petite sieste de deux heures, j'en avais bien besoin... normalement ça me ferait speeder car j'ai plein de choses à faire mais là j'ai vraiment apprécié ce moment de détente et de repos !
Autre moment mémorable de la semaine : vendredi midi, toute l'équipe d'anglais est allée, après le conseil d'enseignement, à l'auberge d'Alsace à Bartenheim ; quel délice !! Je me souviendrai longtemps du dessert que ma collègue Carole m'a conseillé : le gratin de framboise. Si j'avais eu l'appareil photo il serait immortalisé ici même. De plus, j'ai revu des collègues qui avaient pris leur retraite pendant que j'étais en congé parental, ça m'a fait plaisir. Il y aura bientôt le repas de fin d'année avec le club de patch de Ferrette, ça fait du bien de reprendre une vie sociale ! (et de manger de bons petits plats...)
We had a really restful week-end, as the girls were at their grandparents' place again. Last week was busy, I spent Thursday and Friday out of the house and I needed to be back "within my 4 walls" and preferably enjoy the peace and quiet. Getting up when I feel like it, having a quiet lunch, a quiet day... sheer happiness !
Today I got up at 9, after breakfast I tidied here and there, then Jean and I went hiking (Swiss landscape in the picture).
Before the girls were born, we used to hike a lot, mostly in Switzerland as we live right at the border, and in one hour we were at the Passwang where we took a path and we saw cows (this one broke away from the herd and was resting under the shadow of a tree). We enjoyed breathing fresh, clean air and parked the car near a restaurant to take pictures. Tonight when we loaded them on the computer Jean was curious to see "the pics of the Alps". What pics of the Alps ? Well, I learnt that the Alps could be seen very clearly from where we had stopped, but I had taken pictures of the right side of the landscape, of the left side, and unfortunately the Alps were right in the middle. I had no idea they were there, I'm not a big fan of the mountains like him, and he should have told me !
We got home and had BBQ grilled meat, then I took a well-deserved two-hour nap which would normally have me feel guilty because I have so many things to do, but it was just what I needed and I really appreciated it.
The lunch we had on Friday was another memorable event of the week : after our English teachers' end of the year meeting, we all went to the "Auberge d'Alsace" (Alsacian Inn) for lunch, and man was it good :)
I'll forever remember the dessert my colleague advised : raspberry gratin. A pity I didn't have the camera, it would be here on the blog for all to see. Sooooooo delicious !! I also got to see again colleagues who had retired while I was on parental leave, it was so nice to see them again ! Very soon there will also be our quilting club's end of the year restaurant meal, it's so nice to finally have a social life again (and enjoy good food...)
