Here is where I cut my yellow flowers from : senecio cineraria (silver ragwort) ; in the first picture you can see a young specimen, and in the second one it's the bigger and older brother that had started his carreer as a tiny stem with a few leaves, lost in that big flower pot, and that feels a little too well. The stems fell down due to the last days' rain and wind, so I will have to cut it down a bit (with a machete ?)
Today was such a great day ; I spent it almost entirely with my pumpkins, and they were charming and adorable all along. I got up way earlier to get all the chores done and be available for their breakfast and then play with them. Only around 11 o'clock when I was trying to do some hand sewing, did I get fed up with repeating a hundred times not to jump on the couch while I'm trying to thread a needle or cut some fabric, or to come to my side and make my arms move all the time, so I went to my office all by myself for 15 minutes. When I got out, I noticed that they were gone - it's always the best of occasions for Laure to indulge in some sort of mischievous activity - so apprehension started rising ! No, everything's OK, she's playing quietly in her room and Elise crept into my bed to have a rest. It was the only incident of the day and it didn't degenerate.
At noon they watched a cartoon, and after lunch we took a nap - the timer was set on twenty minutes and I put my earplugs - and it was fine, Elise tickled me only once and I was already slowly waking up, and I heard several times the "bang" of toys falling on the floor but the earplugs made softened the sounds.
After that, drawing, cutting, collages, and at 4 o'clock a snack, and then we see that the weather turns fine !! So everybody goes outside, for our usual walk to the fountain, even if they rather ran to it, they needed to get some exercice, very badly ! We get home, and we see that the weather is still fine so we stay outside ; a stork flies down in circles and lands in the field across the street (too bad, no camera to take a pic). I go on weeding a little, the task is overwhelming but oh, what a nice surprise among the weeds, look ! a beautiful nasturtium !!
