Après un petit coup de blues... / I had been feeling a little down, but now I'm back

Going back to school was very difficult and hectic this year. I don't know how I will cope : the timetables are a catastrophe, I spend all my time preparing, correcting, trying to keep ahead of things and not managing and it has never seemed so hard. Besides, I have two rather undisciplined classes that make things more difficult than they already are and when school doesn't take up all of my time, the housework does. I had been feeling very depressed the past 3 weeks, so much so that I was incapable of setting foot at school - so much so that I almost burst into tears one day because of one of the undisciplined class. So I took some rest, and I seem to do better now. I have to find an operating mode this year that allows me to survive... we'll see. At all events during the holidays, I took care of myself and of the house.

We had to do a lot of shopping to get new clothes for the girls, and we found... a husband for Bella, that Elise wanted to "adopt". So like Bella last year, he will wait for Christmas in the top of our closet, before being allowed to join the family.
(ça me fait bizarre d'écrire ça !)
We went to Germany, on a great week-end, to Trier where I lived when I was young and I hadn't gone back there for 30 years !! (it sure feels weird to write this !) More pics and details in the next post (with pics as nice as the gingerbread house of Hansel and Gretel).

We went to see my parents and visited a cousin in the Lower-Rhine, and it's always a joy to see the sandstone houses again, the forest, and for Laure, horses !

I took part in Floss's No Frills Magazine Swap, and I got these from Angela ! I didn't have time to take more pics from the contents, but it sure inspired me for the week I had to spend at home : to put things back in order in my head, I moved all the furniture around.
And our "little" Laure lost her first tooth ! She had been waiting for THE day the tooth Fairy would come and thought she was behind, but she wasn't ! Since then she's had two others teeth ready to fall and we feel like others are moving. But what a golden heart she has ! she is really very cuddly and she wants to help a lot. She sweeps the kitchen and today I taught her to iron.

Well, gotta go, lots of things to do, we'll see what happens when school starts... but I will NOT let myself be discouraged !

I'm sorry to hear you are having such difficulties in school. Some years are worse than others, n'est-ce pas?
