Cocooner à l'intérieur / Staying cozy inside

C'est la saison où petit à petit, on n'a plus envie de bouger, d'aller à l'école, et on aimerait rester à la maison faire des gâteaux et/ou s'occuper de l'intérieur. Dernièrement j'ai eu la fièvre et j'ai tout changé de place : 

It's the season when little by little, you don't feel like doing anything like go to school, and you would like to stay inside and bake cakes and/or take care of the inside of the house. Lately I had a sort of house fever and I moved some furniture around :

le coin couture juste à côté de la cuisine / my sewing spot right next to the kitchen

vidé, nettoyé et occupé par un autre meuble / emptied, cleaned and now with another piece of furniture

où il se trouvait avant / where it was before

la nouvelle configuration, mais provisoire / the new (but temporary) layout

J'ai l'impression de vouloir faire le grand nettoyage de printemps, sauf que ce n'est pas vraiment la bonne saison... j'ai commencé à faire des recherches sur le net pour aménager une pièce à la cave, et donc je commence à ranger en partant d'un coin, je dégage ce qui ne sert pas, encombre, je range ce qui n'est pas à sa place... je fourmille de projets mais je suis crevée parce que c'est l'hiver et en plus je n'ai pas que cela à faire, les copies s'amoncellent...

I really feel like I could start a big spring cleaning, except it's the wrong season ! I started to browse the net for tips and  a list of material to convert the laundry room in the basement, so I start to tidy up starting from a corner, I get rid of what is useless and stands in the way, put away what belongs somewhere else... my head is boiling with projects but I'm tired because it's winter and besides, my priorities should be totally different, the papers to correct are piling up...

Hier j'ai fait un tour au jardin, il faisait beau, j'ai retourné un petit bout de terre au potager, répandu du terreau mélangé à du fertilisant et un peu de corne torréfiée ; comme ma terre est lourde, le gel cassera les mottes. Ensuite j'ai désherbé un petit coin. J'ai jeté un oeil sur mes derniers semis : cérinthe, pieds d'alouette annuels et ancolies. Tout se porte à merveille mais je n'ai pas fait de photos. La prochaine fois.

Yesterday I strolled in the garden, the weather was fine, I dug a little spot in the veggie patch and covered it with compost, fertiliser and a handful of hoof meal (?) ;  here the soil is heavy so the frost will break down the clumps. Then I weeded a little spot. I checked on my latest sowings : cerinthe, annual larkspur and columbines. Everything is getting along fine but I didn't take any pics. Next time.
