Soirée tranquille

Aujourd'hui je me suis levée plus tôt pour prendre une bonne douche et j'ai travaillé sans relâche, juste une pause à midi, et je suis restée jusqu'à 6 heures pour finir des corrections. Quel soulagement ! En rentrant, je me disais que je pourrais jardiner avec Elise mais tout le monde était écroulé sur le canapé, sauf Laure qui sautillait et avait l'air en super forme ! Il paraît que quand Jean l'a cherchée à la crèche elles lui ont dit "Bonne chance" en partant !!

Ayant bien travaillé toute la journée, je me suis offert une soirée détente et loisirs pendant que Jean regardait notre série préférée, Friends (en VO bien sûr) ; j'ai feuilleté quelques magazines et j'ai assemblé un bloc de l'amitié pour une personne de mon club de patch à Ferrette ; nous travaillons uniquement à la main. Une personne est tirée au sort tous les mois, qui choisit un bloc, ses couleurs, et tout le monde lui en fait un, qu'elle assemble en un quilt de l'amitié. Je crois bien que j'ai 5 blocs de retard... heureusement demain c'est férié, je pourrai trouver un peu de temps entre les nombreuses tâches qui m'attendent...

I got up earlier this morning, took a good shower and worked practically without stopping, just at noon to have lunch, and stayed until 6 to grade some papers. They're done, what a relief ! As I was driving home I was thinking maybe I could do some gardening with Elise, but everybody was lying on the couch, except for Laure who was jumping around ! When Jean picked her up at the daycare center they wished him good luck - it's true that she was on fire today !

As I had worked all day, I indulged in a quiet evening where I leafed through some crafts magazines, and did some sewing while Jean was watching our favourite sitcom, "Friends" (original soundtrack of course). I'm sewing a friendship block for one of the members of our club in Ferrette (we only sew by hand there, no machine work allowed). There is a monthly drawing of a name, and this person chooses her blocks and her colours, then all the others sew it for her and she puts them all together in a friendship quilt. I must be 5 blocks late, fortunately tomorrow is a holiday so I guess I'll find time amid all the tasks that await me.
