Pas vu mon jardin du week-end !! comme c'est désolant ! Et pourtant le temps était au beau fixe... trop de boulot et les filles un peu... accaparantes. Alors pour se rattraper, un petit aperçu des nouveautés

I haven't been out in my garden this week-end, how very sad ! And yet the weather was perfect... too much work and the girls were a little... demanding. So to make up for it, here are a couple of new things

Quelques changements du côté de l'entrée : j'ai arraché toutes les pervenches et je les ai offertes à une voisine , j'ai planté le leucothoé qui était en pot et j'ai installé un lamier rose en couvre-sol. Une rose de Noël est également venue s'installer ici, on la remarque à son petit paillis de compost tout noir. (conseil avisé du grand maître Thierry Denis).

I changed a few things on the entrance side : I tore out all the Vinca and gave them to a neighbour, planted the leucothoé that was in a pot and planted a pink (I have to look up this one in the dictionary) as a ground cover. A Helleborus praecox also settled down, you can notice her compost mulching at her foot (good and sound advice from Thierry Denis our Master).

Un souci qu'Elise avait semé avec plein d'autres graines dans un petit sachet ; depuis il a bien grandi et triplé de volume !

A marigold that Elise sowed along with a lot of other seeds from a little pack ; it grew very well and is three times as big now !

Et il n'y a pas que le jardin ; en cuisine aussi, il s'est passé des choses dont une flognarde toute simple (nous n'avons plus de pommes ! un comble en cette saison !) aromatisée à la fleur d'oranger

Not just in the garden ; in the kitchen too were new things, among them a plain flognarde (we're short of apples... we could do better in this season !) just flavoured with orange blossom

Et au coin couture, une pause de 10 minutes pour finir ce petit pull taillé dans une vieille chaussette - mais comme il fait froid on ne peut pas laisser cette pauvre Barbie en short ! Un pantalon plus en adéquation avec la saison devrait suivre.

And from the sewing room, a 10-minute-break to finish this little sweater cut out from an old sock - but as it's really getting cold, Barbie can't stay in her shorts ! a pair of pants more adapted to the weather should be sewn shortly.

Et je ne résiste pas au plaisir de vous montrer le sac que m'ont fait mes amies hongroises ; il est super non ? En plus il y a une petite poche dedans... pour le portable (je n'en ai pas, j'y mettrai donc mes clés !)

And I can't resist the pleasure to show you the bag my Hungarian friends made for me ; it's great isn't it ? What's more there's a little pocket inside... for a mobile phone (but I don't have one, so I'll put my keys in it !)
