Before we're cut off from the rest of the world...

... I'm writing a short post because Jean is taking the computer to a specialist tomorrow. It's getting worse and worse, and something needs to be done before it dies out completely.

What I wanted to show you last time already, when Blogger was not too well either : Un coussin cadeau pour ma belle-mère il y a 2? 3? ans - a cushion, gift for my mother in law 2? 3? years agoDes sacs spirale avec de petits savons dedans comme cadeaux de Noël - Little spiral bags filled with little soaps as Christmas giftsUn quilt A4 fait pour Tiennou lors d'un échange - a mini quilt (the size of a sheet of paper) made for Tiennou for a swap

A babyquilt for the little girl of one my husband's colleague
Some blocks and a quilt from a round robin. A rather negative experience... the oak leaves and embroidered block was mine, I worked well on it and I was pleased, it was going to be a beautiful quilt... but it got "lost" on the way. (same went for another quilt, plus others from another round, but all with the same person... how suspect ! Of course this person vanished in the air.) The second is the one I sewed together with all the blocks the other participants had made and mine is at the bottom left in the burgundy tones, to complete and balance it. The last one had to sew it together and then quilt it, to send it completed to its owner, but I never made it. I was willing to, I had started but it lasted so long, that I sent it unfinished with the agreement of its owner.
A baby quilt for Valentin, the baby of one of Jean's cousins. A real scrap quilt with lots of various little pieces, the way I like them, from a "recipe" found at Bonnie's at www.quiltville.com - an inspiring gold mine !
And here is the piece of furniture from Goodwill, done at last, and that found its place as a dressing table in Elise's room. (we'll add a curtain later and some decorations)
Well, I don't know when I'll get to write again, I can read my e-mails at work, but I don't have access to Blogger and I can't visit you or comment from there. I hope it won't last too long !

Hope you get your computer soon!

You made a comment a little time ago on my blog Quilting with teh Past. You asked me how tiny the squares are from my little quilts. They are a bit more as half inch.(finished size) I work in cm. they are 1.5 cm. finished size..
Hope this helps you.

Wish you a happy New Year!
Thank you for visiting my blog :-)
