De retour de Paris / Back from Paris

Ouf, nous sommes rentrées crevées et les bras chargés de cadeaux. Quelles belles petites vacances à Paris ! Et quelle drôle d'idée que de reprendre le travail demain !!
Tout a commencé dans l'avion. Nous aurions dû y aller en train (bilan carbone oblige) mais les horaires ne nous convenaient pas du tout. C'était fun, Elise s'est sentie mal tout le temps, a eu mal partout et a vomi en sortant de la navette bus.

Well, we just got home exhausted but loaded with presents. What a nice little holiday we had ! And what a weird thing to think about, to resume work tomorrow !!
It all started on the plane. We should have gone there by train, but the timetables were not convenient at all. It was fun, Elise felt sick all the time, her head and ears hurt and she threw up barely had she gone out of the shuttle.

Bon, une fois sur le plateau du jeu c'était génial : on a été prises en main par les maquilleuses, coiffeuses, il y avait d'autres équipes sympas à l'hôtel et sur le plateau, et une super-ambiance. A la fin des deux jours de tournage, Elise s'était fait plein de copines et a bien rempli son carnet d'adresses.

Well, once on the TV set it was great : we were taken care of by the hairdressers and make-up artists, there were other nice teams at the hotel and on the set, and the atmosphere was great. At the end of the two-day shooting, Elise had made a lot of friends and filled her address book.

Une chose qu'elles avaient hâte de faire en vrai : mélanger les boules.

Nous avons profité du reste de la semaine pour faire du tourisme, pour manger dans des restaurants asiatiques, pour nous faire écrabouiller dans le métro...

We took advantage of the rest of the week to play tourists, to eat in Asian restaurants, to get squashed in the metro...

Nous avons énormément marché, et là nous sommes bien fatiguées... mais nous avons ramené plein de chocolats ! Je vous montrerai tout ça.

We walked a lot, and now we are really tired... but we brought back lots of chocolate ! I'll show you all this later.

Et je ne suis pas fâchée d'être de retour chez moi où il y a de la verdure. Paris est une belle et grande ville, mais je m'en suis rendue compte en marchant dans le Jardin des Plantes : ça fait du bien de voir du vert !!
So I'm quite pleased to be back home where it's green. Paris is a nice and big city, but as I realised while walking in the Jardin des Plantes : it feels real good to see some green !!
