Pas encore les vacances ! Not the holidays yet !

C'est vraiment dingue : on n'a repris que depuis une semaine ! J'ai l'impression que la semaine qui vient de s'écouler était en fait trois compressées en une et que le temps se dilate bizarrement. Et aujourd'hui avec le temps estival, sur la terrasse, je me croyais presque en vacances !

Malheureusement, il va falloir cavaler pour boucler l'année, et la semaine prochaine j'emmène 48 élèves en Angleterre. Donc je fais ce que je peux pour préparer mes cours, j'ai une tonne de corrections en attente, et je tombe de sommeil à la fin de chaque journée. Sans compter qu'il faut que je finisse un certain nombre de tâches au jardin (que je n'ai fait que ça ce week-end et que je vais devoir tenir le coup pour finir le boulot pour demain...)

How crazy is this ? We've been back to school for only one week ! I've been feeling like somebody squeezed 3 weeks into one and that time has been contracting and expanding in a really weird way. And today, with the summer-like temperatures, as I was taking a break on the terrasse, I almost felt on holidays !

Unfortunately, it will be a mad rush to get to the end of the year, and next week I'm taking 48 students to England. So I do what I can to get my lessons ready, I have a ton of papers to correct, and I really feel sleepy at the end of each day. Not to mention that I have a certain number of tasks to finish in the garden (and that I did only this during the week-end, which means I will have to finish my work for tomorrow... now...)

Il ne me manque plus grand chose pour rayer celui-ci de ma liste ! Et mon lapin a pu reprendre sa place. Avant il était caché dans les mauvaises herbes, que j'ai ratiboisées, ici (puis j'ai commencé à couvrir avec des cartons ou des emballages de terreau vide pour les étouffer) : 

There's not much left and I can cross this one off my list ! And my bunny could go back to its place. It had been hiding in the weeds that I just tore off today, here (then I covered them with cardboard and empty compost packagings to smother them) :

De la même façon, j'ai mis un terme à la progression des boutons d'or autour du coin potager (il manque une pierre, je l'ai enlevée car elle s'était enfoncée : galerie de mulot en dessous...)

I used the same device to put an end to the invasion of buttercups around the veggie patch (there's a stone missing, I lifted it to discover a field mouse gallery, no wonder it had sunk...)

 

Il reste du boulot / some serious work left

Mercredi et jeudi prochain, c'est férié. Deux jours pour en faire encore le plus possible, encore un peu le week-end... on tient le bon bout.

Next Wednesday and Thursday are holidays. Two days to go on and do as much as possible, then a little again on the week-end... getting closer !
