Feeling blue

It was bound to happen : with all there was to do and the hectic life of the latest weeks, I fell ill (immune system down plus the snow and cold weather back). I'm still late for a lot of things, I miss my garden, and our poor Popotte is seriously ill and I'm afraid he won't survive. We give him pain-killers and antibiotics to avoid a bigger infection (he has a tumor, or an abscess on his jaw but it's growing inwards) and the vet will see on Monday if it can be removed it or if it's hopeless and he has to put him to sleep to avoid atrocious pain until the end comes. I have a feeling it will be the second scenario...

I really like my little bunny rabbit, and even if it's far from being the worst tragedy the world has ever known, I feel really, really sad.

I can imagine you feel sad. Pets do become part of the family. I'm sorry you are ill too, hope you feel better soon.

Oh you poor things. Prayers for you and your rabbit - like you say, it sounds relatively small in the grand scheme of things, but that doesn't stop it being very hard for you and your family. I'll be thinking of you all.

Oh, Carole, I can understand that. We also have two rabbits, Bunny and Cleo and they are the most lovely and peaceful pets one can imagine. An old one, Bugsy, died about 3 years ago, that is when we "adopetd" Cleo.
