Everybody went back to school and we took up again all our work... I was happy to see my students again... and the stomach flu that's been going around caught me by surprise.
Everybody went back to school and we took up again all our work... I was happy to see my students again... and the stomach flu that's been going around caught me by surprise.

Fortunately just before I had time to buy two bunches of tulips yesterday, that I split and spread throughout the house - the girls were delighted,

so much so that Laure insisted on taking a picture of the one in her room so I could publish it !

As I was not feeling too well and I felt like doing a little quiet creative something, I opened my yarn box and took out that fuzzy red yarn to make a hat for Elise.

And all of a sudden I hear "Oh Mummy, won't you teach me how to crochet ?" A little surprised but very happy to oblige, I got her some yarn and all the necessities and tried my best to show her how to proceed (she's left handed, which I managed to handle with sewing - but I couldn't crochet with my left hand, it was way more difficult !)

Well, she was really motivated and after a lot of efforts and discouragement at first, she managed to make 10 chains... and wouldn't stop. Before she went to bed she had made something like a yard !

Tonight I will teach her to work on her second row and work in single crochet. She has already thought of a lot of projects to work on.
As for me, I'm going to rest and drop by an old friend I haven't seen in a million years : my sewing machine.

I'm so sorry you're sick and really hope you feel better soon! You're such a lovely woman, feeling so bad yet making time to get tulips and teach your daughter. :-) I love that. :-)
Sorry to hear you were sick, fortunately you still could have a nice time with your daughters.
